来自英国devon的海湾小镇teignmouth的muse乐队，成员年纪并不大，个个长着一张娃
娃脸，但是他们的在音乐界的资历并不浅。1998年就出道的他们，在乐坛已经沉浮七载。
乐队成员分别是词曲创作、歌手、吉他手兼键盘手matt bellamy，贝司手chris
wolstenholm，鼓手dominic howard。经过在欧洲及美国的各大音乐节上的表演，他 们
引起了歌迷的广泛注意，并且很快成为1999年最受瞩目的年轻英国乐队之一。
之后乐队从一个只为他们出过两张ep唱片的小公司dangerous records转投到半主流厂牌
mushroom records旗下，随即推出乐队的处女唱片《showbiz》，这张慢热的唱片虽然在
英国没有大红大紫，但是他们鲜明紧凑的音乐节奏所带来的爆发力，却为他们赢得了美国
市场的青睐。
主唱matt bellamy英俊而略带忧郁的长相，以及他酷似radiohead乐队主唱
thom yorke的嗓音，无疑使得muse乐队成为世纪交接时期最令人期待的英国乐队
